Chattahoochee River Guided Fly Fishing Trips

Flowing through the northern portion of metro Atlanta, the Chattahoochee River tailwater below Lake Lanier offers visitors to Atlanta as well as locals looking to catch trout a fantastic opportunity. Rainbow Trout are stocked in the river year round and the most southerly wild brown trout in the United States are found right here. Our guides host anglers looking to make an easy float down the river as well as ambitious anglers with some experience looking to target the largest brown trout in the state. Dry flies, nymphs, and giant streamers are all on the menu for these trout. â€‹â€‹

We can also host trips for physically disabled guests looking to get out on the water. The "Hooch" tends to not be very accommodating to wading anglers in the best physical condition, these guided float trips are the perfect opportunity for all anglers to enjoy our local trout stream of Atlanta. Learn more in our Chattahoochee River Fly Fishing Guide or article on Fly Fishing Atlanta.

What To Bring and Prepare For

Guests will need at least a 1 day Georgia fishing license on our trips. Other than that come dressed for the weather.  Wind proof materials are certainly recommended.

All of our guides are teachers first. Prepare to learn A LOT about not only fly fishing but also what makes our striped bass fisheries here in North Georgia so special. We hope to instill not only our love for the sport, but also show why we work with an eye for conservation and a brighter future for our trout fisheries.
